In 2019 I released a new podcast called Faith On Campus. The goal of this podcast is to give you a window into some of the great things that God is doing on university campuses around Australia. You’ll hear stories of students who have come to faith in Christ, conversations with students who have been equipped to serve in their local churches (and beyond), and interviews with campus staff workers about how they’re seeing God at work.
If you’re on an Apple device you can find the Faith On Campus podcast & subscribe here. For those on other devices you can find it on Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, TuneIn, Player.FM, or other Android platforms. Alternatively, you’ll be able to find all the episodes right here on this website as well.
New episodes will come out each week during uni semester, and I’m planning some bonus episodes for uni holidays as well. For now, you can listen to one of the episodes below right now, and subscribe on your preferred podcast app to get new episodes as they come out!

Episode 1 – Flaming Arrows and Talking Donkeys (Perth MYC)
In this episode, I interview four students during Perth’s Mid Year Conference (MYC). MYC is a week-long conference where over 200 students from across the universities of Perth come together for a week of intense Bible teaching and time together. Listen on the playlist above or find more info here.
Episode 2 – Leading A Double Life (Jan Bochat)
In this episode, I speak with Jan Bochat to find out about how he became a Christian while he was a student at uni. Jan came to UWA to study law & business, and God wasn’t in the picture of how he was living his life. But that all changed when a random stranger walked up to him one day while he was having lunch. Listen above or here.
Episode 3 – Life As A Ministry Apprentice (Jan Bochat)
In this episode, I interview Jan Bochat again to find out what life is like as a ministry apprentice. In the previous episode we heard about how he became a Christian as a uni student. Now, half a decade later, Jan is back on campus as a full time ministry apprentice. What’s it like? Why is he doing it? And what is an MTS Ministry Apprenticeship in the first place? Listen on the playlist above or find the episode page here.
Episode 4 – Walk-Up Evangelism? “I Love it!” (Jacob Brown)
In this episode I speak with Jacob Brown, a student at UWA. Jacob was born in a non-Christian family, but came to know Jesus in high school through teachers who were transparent and open about their faith. Now, inspired by their example, he’s studying Economics & Maths and hoping to be a teacher himself. We also chat about how he later got into walk-up evangelism, why he loves it, and how it can be an effective way to have good conversations with people about Jesus. Listen above or here.
Episode 5 – What Is Evangelism Team? (Matt Chan)
In this episode I interview Matt Chan about what it’s like to be part of the Evangelism Team at UWA. We also talk about some of the ways it has given him skills and confidence to share about Jesus with others, and chat about some of the encouraging things he’s seen God doing. Listen on the playlist above or find the episode page here.
Episode 6 – A Mini Revival (Mikey Lynch)
In this episode I interview Mikey Lynch, the campus director of the Christian group at the University of Tasmania. Mikey Lynch shares with us how he became a Christian during a ‘mini revival’, where dozens of people came to faith in Jesus in a short period of time.
Episode 7 – Parachurch Ministry & The Gospel Ecosystem (Mikey Lynch)
In this episode I chat to Mikey Lynch about the relationship between church and parachurch ministry, and how they fit together within a gospel ecosystem. What are some pitfalls? What are some opportunities? And what is a parachurch ministry anyway?
Episode 8 – What Is The Mission of Campus Ministry? (Ben Rae)
In this episode I speak with Ben Rae about the mission and goal of campus ministry. Ben is the Staff Team Leader at the University of Western Australia in Perth. With a team of almost 20 people (6 students and 13 staff), a big part of his role is to make sure they are clear on their mission and all pulling in the same direction. So what is their goal? What is the mission of campus ministry, and what it is actually trying to achieve?
Episode 9 – Fixing Our Eyes On Jesus (Public Meeting Talk)
This episode of Faith On Campus is a recording of the most recent talk at UWA Christian Union’s Public Meeting. Normally on this podcast you’ll hear me interviewing a student or staff worker. But the goal of this episode is to let you hear first-hand what goes on in our weekly Public Meeting and get a sense of what it’s like. This talk is from Hebrews 11, an amazing (though often misunderstood) part of the Bible that encourages Christians to keep trusting God despite the hardships we might face for following Jesus.
Episode 10 – Searching For God (Dan Faulkner)
In this episode I speak to Dan Faulkner, an Engineering student who became a Christian in 2019. Dan was raised in a Christian home, but didn’t have a good idea of who Jesus really was. In high school he began to have serious doubts about Christianity and whether there was a God at all. Hear him share about his journey searching for God as a uni student.
