Ep. 10 – Searching For God (Dan Faulkner)

Faith On Campus Podcast Episode by Ben Smart, Searching For God with Dan Faulkner

In this final episode of Season 1, I speak with Dan Faulkner, an Engineering student who became a Christian earlier this year. Dan was raised in a Christian home, but didn’t have a good idea of who Jesus really was. In high school he began to have serious doubts about Christianity and whether there was a God at all.

When he came to uni, Dan came along to some Christian Union events and began to understand the gospel for the first time, but he still didn’t believe it. He spent years looking for some way to have certainty about whether there was a God – searching in science and philosophy books, asking for miracles… but kept coming up empty. Then, earlier this year Dan and I started reading the Gospel of Matthew together, and over time he found that his confidence in who Jesus is began to grow. A few months later, he decided to trust in Jesus and follow Him as Lord and Saviour.

In this interview Dan shares with us about what that journey was like, and how it’s been over the last 6 months or so as a follower of Jesus.

That’s A Wrap For Season 1!

This week brings us to the end of uni semester, which also sadly means that brings us to an end of Season 1 of Faith On Campus. Now that semester is over I won’t be posting the normal weekly episodes, but there might be some bonus content over the Summer break, so keep an eye out for that.

Next February, Lord willing, we’ll be back for Season 2, with weekly episodes coming out during semester. In the meantime, if you’ve found this podcast helpful or encouraging, I’d love it if you helped us reach more people by giving a rating on Apple Podcasts or your favourite podcast platform.
